Summer 2007

Uganda

Project: The team went to Jinja, Uganda, to work with George and Stella Muzaale, community development workers with YWAM in Uganda, living and working beside the great Lake Victoria. There they helped with a construction project for additional school classrooms, and other projects. Team shared in worship in local churches, played and worked with children in the Jinja community, and helped with outreach visits to the sick who are not able to walk to local clinics.

Romania (Lupeni)

Project: Impact team worked with VIATA, a ministry to youth in this mountain village of Straja, Romania. VIATA serves to help build a sense of community and hope for better life in this former economically depressed area, where people seek work, basic needs, and a vision for the future. Team worked to support a summer camp for middle school aged children, where they are taught outdoor skills, rock and rope climbing, and Christian values. There was also some painting and maintenance work to help improve the camp. They worked with Romanian staff in this ministry.

Kunming , China

Project: This team traveled to southwestern China to work with a partner ministry long established in Yunnan province in educational programs. Our team worked in rural areas outside Kunming, helping Chinese teachers of English to improve their teaching skills.

Hurricane Relief Team: Gulf Coast U.S.

Project: Our team helped to encourage and rebuild lives of people in the U.S. Gulf coast area. OurImpact team traveled to Louisiana and Mississippi to help with clean up, home reconstruction, painting and reconditioning homes.
