Uganda
Project: The team went to Jinja, Uganda, to work with George and Stella Muzaale, community development workers with YWAM in Uganda, living and working beside the great Lake Victoria. There they helped with a construction project for additional school classrooms for Daysprings School as well as helping the teachers in the schools. They were also able to do a semiar at the George's church teaching and encouraging the congregation..
Honduras , Central America (Siguatepeque)
Project: The team worked in the highlands of Honduras, with Orlando Japas of Union Biblica (Scripture Union). We also shared the gospel through music, drama, and crafts with school children in the cities and in rural areas.
Romania
Project: Impact team worked with VIATA, a ministry to youth in this mountain village of Straja, Romania. VIATA serves to help build a sense of community and hope for better life in this former economically depressed area, where people seek work, basic needs, and a vision for the future. Team worked to support a summer camp for middle school aged children, where they are taught outdoor skills, rock and rope climbing, and Christian values. They also helped dig a trench for the electric lines that bring power to the camp. They worked with Romanian staff in this ministry.
Turkey
Project: Impact team worked with our partners in Turkey on the Mediterranean coast in the city and suburbs of Antalya, in a country where 98% of the people are Muslim. This team served under the guidance of established Presbyterian missionaries. The project included working with developmentally disabled youth, ages 8 to 18, through arts and crafts, and miinistering to their mothers who were shunned by the community because of their children. The team also served at Olive Grove, an annual camp for the third culture kids all across Europe.
